# Notta User's Guide

Notta helps you work more efficiently by recording your voice, transcribing text in real time, tag highlighting and sharing conversation notes whenever you want. Find out how Notta works with the documentation below.

# 1. Setting the default transcription language

Entering Notta for the first time, you will be asked to set the default transcription language. Once the setup is finished, and you're ready for file transcription or real-time transcription by just clicking the "Import Audio" or "Start Recording" button

You can change the default language at any time. Return to the home page or click the top right corner profile and then select “Personal Setting”.

# 2. Real-time voice to text transcription

On the home page, click "Start Recording" to begin real-time recording transcription.

If you don't want to show the real-time transcription result, you can also click the minimize button on the top left corner and conduct other operations.

# 3. Transcription of audio files

You can also upload your audio file to transcribe it into text. Click the "Import Audio" button on the right side of the home page to upload your audio file, and a transcription record will be generated automatically after a successful upload.

Supports importing and transcribing common audio files such as wav/mp3/m4a/caf/aiff/aac.

# 4. Highlight and insert pictures during recording

While recording, you can click on the edit icon next to the player to add some additional information or notes, or you can press the shortcut key Option + N (Alt + N on Windows) to add.

These notes will be listed on the right side, and you can modify or delete them at any time.

While recording, you can also add pictures by clicking on the picture icon next to the player or the shortcut key Option + P (Alt + P on Windows).

Supports importing common image files such as jpg/jpeg/gif/png.

# 5. Text highlight and insertion of images during review

You can also remark by clicking on the icon or shortcut when you review after finishing recording. In addition, you can quickly jump to the corresponding audio position to play by clicking the play button on the right remark part.

You can still add pictures at this time, but you can only add them by selecting text.

The added images will be displayed below the corresponding text, click on it to view the larger image. At the top will also display a row of all added pictures. Click each picture to locate the corresponding time to the audio, or click the delete icon in the upper right corner to delete.

# 6. Edit and search transcribed text in records

Click the "Edit" button at the top of the page to enter the editing mode, you can modify the transcribed text. After the modification is completed, click "Finish" to save.

In the session details, click the magnifying glass icon at the top to search and help you quickly find the desired text content within the text.

# 7. Playback speed, Skip blank tone. Pro version

For the Notta Pro membership benefits, you can also set multiple speed playback when listen back to recording, or skip blank tone.

# 8. Intelligent error correction and filtering of useless words Professional version Pro version

For transcribed text, Notta can automatically flags words that may be incorrect, and you can either type in a replacement word or ignore it.

You can also hide some of the useless words in the transcription text by switching on the useless word filter to make the text look more streamlined.

Currently, intelligent error correction only supports English and Japanese, and filtering of useless words only supports Chinese.

# 9. Live streaming and sharing of transcription in real time

In both real-time transcription and reviewing the recording, you can share the link to others. They can see the real-time transcription text as well. All you have to do is click on the share button above to enable sharing and the sharable link will be generated.

If you are using notta.com.cn (opens new window), a password and link will be generated. However, other party will need the password to view it.

# 10. Exporting text and audio

In Session Details, click the three dots icon in the upper right corner to export the transcribed text. Notta Pro members can export in TXT, DOCX, SRT, and PDF formats, and Standard members can export in TXT format only. You can also set whether to include the speaker and timestamp in the exported text.

# 11. Managing sessions with folders

Notta provides folder feature that allows you to use folders to organize session records. The sessions created on the home page are placed under “My Sessions” by default, and you can create a new folder and then move the session records to the new folder.

When creating folders, you can choose a color to distinguish them. Note that folder name cannot be duplicated. If you delete a folder, the session records in the folder will be moved to the “Recycle Bin”.
